It was past midnight, our grandmother sat by the fire, all in a circle, at the beginning of our feminine initiation. Then she began to tell us the origin of life on Earth while gesturing with her hands, as if touching the immensity of her words: On the first day God created Eve and Adam; she had the perfect and full form, he followed her and the Spirit of God united them. Then God said: Let there be light. And the light united Adam with Eve and God saw that this was good and blessed them. He called her the mother of mankind, and him a human being. That was the first day.
