Abstract

The objective of this article is to document the situation of female public transportation drivers in the metropolitan area of Guadalajara, focusing on a description of their profile and motives for incorporating into a traditionally masculine labor force. The information presented here is based oninterviews with female drivers collected between february and july of 2005.
