Abstract

The pre-Hispanic past is not generally considered parallel to the current indigenous art and situation, Patricia Ayala's drawings are a bridge that connects both paths and implies a new respect for the vision of the Mexican. These illustrations rethink the current indigenous culture, not as a forgotten chapter to be remembered, but as something alive to be known.
