In this book you will find a comprehensive picture of what has been developed in terms of gender and feminism at the University of Colima, and the implications this has had for the society of Colima. This work has been published after an important historical juncture, since it was 20 years since the formal interest in feminism and gender issues at the University of Colima. This period coincides with the founding of the University Center for Gender Studies, the journal GénEros, and the Colima Association of University Women. As the first feminist and gender studies were developed at the University of Colima, one of the first results was the visibility and recognition of some university women (students, professors, administrative and civil servants).
