The articles in this issue address, from different perspectives, how women value or develop aspects that contribute to quality of life. The first one is entitled “Modern women building homes: pioneers in the consolidation of housing and its urban environment in Mérida, Yucatán”, by María Elena Torres Pérez. The results of the research show how housewives who joined the socioeconomically productive group have actively participated in the consolidation of both their housing and the urban environment.
