Abstract

Social and gender research methodology and techniques The question of gender dimension in a social research methodology has appeared. The first systematization of associated topics is presented on this subject that has been, until now, dispersed. They are three sections in which some ideas are proposed: 1. Are masculine and feminine dimensions indeed pertinent regarding the methodological construction of science, in particular so cial sciences? 2. Are qualitative and quantitative dimensio ns of the social methodology associated with gender? 3. Are the macro dimensions of information and communication —from a cybernetic
perspective— associated in any way with the meaning of gender? The attempt is to systematize my comments on social research and methodology done throug hout the years, on the relationships between research methodology and technology, and what is called gender in certain social studies.
