Abstract

There is a phrase that says: “Reading is the journey of those who cannot take the train”. This alludes to the fact that -through reading- we can get to know and discover worlds so distant that otherwise it would not be possible. Books have that virtue, they move us and make us feel and live different sensations and emotions in each of their pages. The book Japan in my existence. La calidad total: un camino a seguir, is no exception, as it undoubtedly represents a great opportunity for readers to undertake a journey, but in this book the journey becomes peculiar and great, as we can move not only to the places that are alluded to and recreated in the text, but it produces something even more important: the book also invites us to a journey into our lives, this for the reason that reading leads us to constantly reflect in first person: “What would I have done in that situation? What would I have done in the face of that obstacle, what would I have done in the face of that health problem?
