I met her several years ago, or rather decades ago. Soon after, she invited me to participate in the magazine GénEros of the University of Colima; she was the editor. It was a very interesting project, from the name, ergo, I accepted immediately. Her political positions coincided with mine; she brought it up with the then director of the Center for Gender Studies and that is how we brought several friends of mine such as Graciela Hierro, Julia Tuñón and Ethel Krauze to give workshops, conferences and seminars on feminism. Later the spectrum was broadened with other personalities, such as Marcela Lagarde, Teresita de Barbieri, etcetera. The topic caught on among the female university students of the Acu (Asociación Colimense de Universitarias) and also in other university departments and associations.
