Issue 17 of the journal Géneros provides an approach to gender studies in the field of physical education and sport in Mexico. In Ibero-America, the literature referred to observe, analyze, describe, compare and explain what happens to women in the various fields of physical culture is limited, reductive, ambiguous or else it is constructed from other disciplines of science, but not from the scientific field and the experience of professionals in this field.
