Quotes and references

The journal uses APA Style, 7th edition for in-text citations and the preparation of the final reference list. All sources cited in the manuscript must appear in the References section (centered title), and only those cited in the document should be included.

1.2. Direct quotations

Must include last name, year, and page number: (Torres, 2004, p. 20)
For long quotations (40 words or more), present them in block format, without quotation marks, indented on the left, according to APA 7.

1.3. Multiple authors

  • Two authors: (Pérez & López, 2020)
  • Three or more authors: (Ramos et al., 2019)

  • Title as References (centered).
  • Alphabetical order by the last name of the first author.
  • Hanging indent for all entries.
  • Carefully verify the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of each reference.

2.2. Mandatory elements

Bibliographic references must be prepared following APA Style, 7th edition, including, whenever possible, complete information for each source to ensure proper identification and retrieval.

  • Authors: up to 20 authors; if more, use “…” before the last one.
  • Year of publication.
  • Full title of the work, respecting capitalization rules according to APA.
  • Publication details or resource: journal, book, publisher, repository, etc.
  • Persistent identifiers:
    • DOI in URL format (preferred).
    • If no DOI, include a stable URL or link to the resource.

Whenever possible, provide the DOI.

Example: https://doi.org/xxxxx

When no DOI exists, include a direct and stable link to the resource.

3. Quality verification of references

To ensure the academic quality of manuscripts, authors must:

  • Include current and relevant references, prioritizing recent and significant literature for the topic.
  • Avoid incomplete, inaccurate, or broken links.
  • Verify the exact correspondence between in-text citations and final references.
  • Prioritize peer-reviewed academic sources.
  • Avoid excessive use of non-academic sources, such as blogs, Wikipedia, or unreviewed websites.
