Abstract

In terms of the temporal narrative, several aspects are striking about the film I Am Not Madame Bovary. The first, almost obvious, is that it is a film about women. Specifically, it is about a woman and the difficulties she faces in her relationship. However, as the plot unfolds, she herself will realize that in order to solve a personal problem she has to fight against the legal and political structure, both at the local and national level. For an unequal battle, she has only the power of her morals.
