Abstract

Gender allows us to establish important distinctions between men and women in terms of natu­ral and cultural facts. A gender perspective affir­ms that relationships between men and women can be explained when different ideas and beliefs that societies have constructed in relation to sexual difference are fully understood. We ack­nowledge that sociocultural influences affect in­ dividual behavior, since they determine the configuration of a specific way to see and relate to the world. With this in mind, in this paper we understand teachers’ behavior in the classroom as being affected by these influence.
