Feminisms and gender studies of men in Mexico

A set of reflections are presented about gender studies of men in Mexico, their relation to femi nist studies, as well as the academic and political challenges faced by such studies. We state the need to affirm the rules of the academic field (as proposed by Bourdieu) as a form of confronting such challenges while at the same contributing to the consolidation of the field of gender studies as such.
