Who is Daniela Monserrat Ramos Mayorga? That was the first prequestion I asked her when we were having breakfast at Darwin's Finches coffee shop in downtown Guadalajara on October 12, 2018. I had just returned to the city after spending two weeks painting a mural in the Nevado de Colima National Park at an altitude of 3,400 masl. Our coffee was already getting cold, but that didn't matter. I was very curious to know who this young artist was, how she would describe herself. She explained to me that painting is something that has always been present in her life and that she considered herself a painter, above all, a muralist with the intention of sharing her knowledge and vision with the public since this type of art gives her the possibility for many people to see it, it is not elitist, enclosed in art galleries, but available to everyone (Mayorga, personal communication, October 12, 2018). The artist began her studies in her hometown, Guadalajara, first at the high school Centro de Educación Artística CEDART (in Arts and Humanities, 2008-2011) to then continue them at the University of Guadalajara at the undergraduate level orienting herself to the specialty of painting (2012-2016).
