Sociolegal Analysis of International Migration in Aguascalientes, México

Abstract

This research article refers to the migration phenomenon in the state of Aguascalientes and how it has evolved in the last decade, specifically both in relation to international emigration and immigration. In those years there have been important legislative and institutional transformations and in some characteristics and effects of migration within the state. This paper analyzes the evolution of the laws that regulate this phenomenon, the actions undertaken by the local government to address it and the changes that have occurred in both international emigration and immigration in the state. The methodology used includes documentary research (through legislation, doctrine, electronic pages and newspapers), statistical information and the interview.
