Cars, boats, trains, planes, buses, or a memorable jet. So many ways to reach a destination, and so many stories of absurd moments that can be told about a trip. I bet writers and artists carry a notebook for their notes, their travel journal. If I had the chance to ask Ana García Bergua, it would be the perfect excuse to start a conversation about her latest book of short stories, Leer en los aviones (Reading on Planes, 2021). This collection of stories could easily happen to you or me. What is worth telling about a trip or an adventure? For García Bergua, everything can be worth telling. In these 18 stories, we find moments of triumph and others that are more timid, but no less worthy of sharing.
