Abstract

I confess that I read Alberto Isaac 100 years after his birth without knowing the main character: all I knew about him was that he was the director of some films I saw in my adolescence. Perhaps that is why I enjoyed reading it so much and, in all honesty, I recommend it to you. In general, this compilation of texts by Amaury Fernández Reyes is a kaleidoscope that offers readers different expressions full of magic, surprise and, above all, emotion and nostalgia about the life and work of Alberto Isaac Ahumada, also known as El Güero.

Sonia Ibarra Valdez, Centro de Actualización del Magisterio en Zacatecas

Mexicana. Licenciada en Letras, maestra en Investigaciones Humanísticas y Educativas con orientación en Literatura Hispanoamericana y doctora en Estudios Novohispanos. Actualmente es docente e investigadora en el Centro de Actualización del Magisterio en Zacatecas y sus líneas de investigación se centran en el estudio de la cultura escrita en la época novohispana (siglos XVII y XVIII), así como en la literatura y educación con perspectiva de género.
