Abstract

Eduardo González Calleja is a professor at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, specialist in the theory and history of political violence, a subject developed in his book Asalto al poder. La violencia política organizada y las ciencias sociales. The book presents a general outline of the typologies of organized violence through the analysis of the following elements: a) internal and external factors of the groups in conflict, b) structural and conjunctural elements of the conflicts, c) strategies played by organizations that dispute power.
