Abstract

The concept of a global community of shared future is an international relations idea proposed by China, aiming to address global challenges and promote collective prosperity through cooperation and sharing. This article explores the influence mechanisms of this concept in the e-commerce collaboration between China and Latin America. This article formulates a model of influence mechanisms encompassing policy, technology, economy, culture and risk-sharing. A case study of Mexico’s Digital Village Project is conducted to examine the functions of the influence mechanisms. The results show that a global community of shared future have effective influence mechanisms that contribute to the project’s success. However, strategies such as deepening institutional openness, increasing joint investment and building cross-cultural training mechanism should be implemented to address the challenges in the China-Latin American e-commerce cooperation.
