Transitar
por tus bordes de mar bravío
sin que tus olas, tu espuma,
tu brisa y tus profundidades inmuten mi alma.

Author Biography

Feliciano Sánchez Chan, Asociación Nacional de Escritores en Lenguas Indígenas, A.C.

(Xaya, Tekax, Yucatan).
He is a bilingual writer, Mayan-Spanish.
He is a professor of language and literary creation in Mayan and an active cultural promoter of the Mayan language and culture. His outstanding literary career has earned him national and international awards.

He has published poetry, theater, essays, and literature for children and young people. He is a founding member of the Asociación Nacional de Escritores en Lenguas Indígenas, A.C. (National Association of Writers in Indigenous Languages). In 2021 he received the Bellas Artes de Yucatán Medal.
