Proceso de revisión por pares
Editorial Review and Double-Blind Peer Review Process
Estudios sobre las Culturas Contemporáneas establishes review and arbitration procedures through forms available on the OJS platform for all manuscripts submitted for publication.
Editorial Review Process
Each submitted manuscript undergoes an editorial review process that includes three stages:
-
Thematic Relevance: The editorial committee evaluates the relevance of the manuscript’s topic in accordance with the journal’s guidelines. If the committee determines that the submission does not align with the journal’s scope, the corresponding author will be notified that the manuscript will not proceed through the editorial process.
-
Compliance with Author Guidelines: If the text falls within the journal’s scope, it will be reviewed for adherence to the journal’s author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not comply will receive an editorial rejection, notified to the corresponding author, who may revise the document for reconsideration.
-
Plagiarism Screening: In line with our editorial policies, all submissions are checked with plagiarism-detection software and available electronic databases to identify duplicate, redundant, plagiarized, or fraudulent content. Any manuscript found to contain such content will be immediately rejected.
Manuscripts meeting all established requirements will then proceed, according to the publication schedule, to the double-blind peer review process. The editorial coordination team, based on reviewers’ recommendations, will decide whether to accept or reject the manuscript for publication.
