Abstract

In this issue, the journal Estudios sobre las Culturas Contemporáneas remains faithful to its prestigious tradition of offering relevant, high-quality content in the field of sociocultural knowledge. Upon reviewing the body of texts that make up this edition—four articles, two essays, and three reviews—it is possible to identify a common thread, with different thematic nuances, that contributes to documenting the agency of social actors who, despite inequalities and injustices, reveal their ability to confront greater powers. The value of these works lies in their ability to shed light, with scientific rigor, on the situations of those who embody David in contemporary scenarios.
