Abstract

This year, the journal Estudios sobre las Culturas Contemporáneas celebrates four decades of publishing, consolidating its position as a fundamental space for critical reflection and academic production in the field of cultural studies in Mexico and Latin America. Since its founding, it has made a decisive contribution to the understanding of contemporary cultural processes, promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and the dissemination of research that problematizes the social, symbolic, and aesthetic transformations of our time.
